On 10 August 2026, Google began rolling out a beta version of its Ask Advisor AI agent in Google Ads and Google Analytics: automatic summaries on login, dashboards generated from a simple question, comparisons against similar businesses. The rollout remains gradual, English-only, and still reaches only a subset of accounts, including in Belgium. Here is what this launch already changes, and what to watch for.
Four tools linked under one agent
Ask Advisor, launched in May 2026, runs on Gemini to cover Google Ads, Google Analytics, Merchant Center and Google Marketing Platform. On 10 August, Google built the agent directly into the Ads and Analytics homepages. The stated goal: stop forcing users to switch tabs to understand their advertising data.
Automatic summaries and text-prompted dashboards
In Google Analytics, a summary of key performance changes now appears right after login: traffic shifts, seasonal spikes, a drop in conversion rate. In Google Ads, new personalised insight cards let advertisers ask natural-language questions, for instance about how competitors are affecting impression share. A text-prompted dashboard feature is also arriving in Ads, with support for Analytics coming soon. Ask Advisor further offers anonymised benchmarking against similar businesses, built directly into the tool. At this stage, these features remain in English-language beta and are enabled only for a subset of advertiser accounts: the rollout happens gradually, account by account, with no public timeline from Google, including for Belgian advertisers.
Three months from launch to wide rollout
Only three months passed between Ask Advisor's launch in May 2026 and its integration into the homepages on 10 August. A fast pace, one that shows how quickly Google keeps evolving its advertising tools. For a business managing its own campaigns, keeping up with these changes becomes a job in itself.
What it means for a Belgian business
Belgium ranks 4th in the European Union for AI use in business, with 34.54% of companies with more than ten employees using it, against an EU average of 19.95%. Tools like Ask Advisor are therefore landing on already fertile ground, even though most Belgian advertisers do not have access yet: the beta rollout remains selective and gradual. But an automatic summary or an anonymised benchmark stays generic: it knows nothing about your margins, your seasonality, or your actual business goals. It widens the view, it does not replace the judgment call.
The AI view, people first
Spotting a traffic anomaly, summarising a week of performance, comparing an account to anonymised averages: AI already handles this kind of synthesis well, and keeps improving. But deciding whether to reallocate budget between Meta and Google, adjusting a creative strategy, or reading a benchmark against the reality of the Belgian market, remains an expert judgment call. AI executes. Expertise decides, and watches.
This week's to-do
Check whether Ask Advisor or the new insight cards are already enabled on your Google Ads and Analytics accounts: the rollout remains gradual and far from widespread in Belgium. If not yet, no need to worry, note down 2 to 3 recurring questions you ask your reports, ready to test the conversational mode once it reaches your account, in your language. Do not take any benchmark recommendation at face value without checking it against your own goals.
Vistalaro Reach runs your Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and Amazon campaigns, combining these new AI tools with a human read of the Belgian market. Vistalaro Pilot goes further: a dedicated senior marketer interprets these automatic summaries in light of your actual strategy, rather than applying them as is.
